About Marie Osmond

As part of a show biz family act that became virtually synonymous with wholesome entertainment, Marie Osmond has enjoyed a lengthy career switching between several different businesses. Though the singer, actress, author, philanthropist, and talk show host was never officially part of her family's famous singing group, she landed a massive hit in 1973 with her remake of the country-pop ballad "Paper Rose," which soared to number one on the Billboard Country Chart. She co-hosted the popular TV variety show Donny & Marie with her brother from 1976 to 1979, and has a filmography that spans multiple genres in both film and television. Osmond's discography is equally robust, with a string of chart-topping LPs in the '70s (Paper Roses, In My Little Corner of the World, Who's Sorry Now), along with late-career triumphs like Music Is Medicine (2016) and Unexpected (2021).
