About Janosch Moldau

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I first listened to Depeche Mode's 'Everything Counts' on the radio in 1983, I was drawn into the universe of electronic pop music. As a teenager, I decided to become a musician, and some years later, I bought my first synthesizer. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Depeche Mode, Black Celebration Duran Duran, Arena (Recorded Around the World 1984) [Bonus Track Version] Remastered The Cure, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me Those 3 albums hold the roots for my inspiration as a songwriter, performing artist and producer. 'Black Celebration', with its crystal dark sound clouds; 'Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me' with the coolest guitars ever; and 'Arena' with its massive power. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Soul Recovery” 'Soul Recovery' feels like an echo of my roots from the '80s. It is a modern approach to my vision as a musician. Monotonous lamenting is a key element in all of my songs, to overcome the pain in the world and personal sorrow in a positive ritual. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I played shows in the EU, the US, Norway, Russia, and the UK. My most memorable shows were Paris, New York, Warsaw, and Moscow, as the audience was very passionate. I opened for Nitzer Ebb, De/Vision, Mesh, Joachim Witt, Die Krupps, and many more. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to play more shows in the Balkans and head over to Japan and China. Also, I would be very happy if I could record all my new songs and bring out many new releases within the next few years. My stage visuals will be redesigned and more...
