Yehudi Menuhin Essentials

Yehudi Menuhin Essentials

Menuhin shot to fame as a child with his recording of the Elgar Violin Concerto, conducted by the composer, sealing his reputation. His early recordings reveal an extraordinary technique and maturity. His humane, spiritual approach to life and music made him a trusted and wise colleague, and he mentored a number of aspiring young violinists, many at the British music school that bears his name. He recorded all the great violin concertos, and in the '60s turned to conducting, where his instinctive musicianship made him an admired interpreter.
