Neri per Caso Essentials

Italian six-piece Neri per Caso are all about the vocals, with barely a guitar or drum featuring on their hits. The band began as Crecason in Salerno in 1991 but didn’t find fame until 1995. The group—with a line-up comprising Mario Crescenzo, Massimo de Divitiis, brothers Ciro Caravano and Diego Caravano, and brothers Domenico Pablo “Mimì” Caravano and Gonzalo Caravano—had their breakthrough after meeting producer Claudio Mattone. Their debut album Le ragazze went platinum within a week and they became the first Italian a cappella band to top the charts. Diego Caravano left the group in 2014 and Daniele Blaquier has completed the sextet since 2015.
