Mexican regional star Lenin Ramírez hails from Culiacán, the cartel-infested capital of Sinaloa, Mexico. He has written and sung some of Mexico's most popular narcocorridos, serenading the drug trade's entrepreneurial masters with horns, accordion, or—in the case of "Soy la Suerte" (I'm the Luck) from his 2015 album Mi Conquista—simple acoustic guitar. While "Como Los Vaqueros" (Like Cowboys) displays Ramírez's knack for a romantic mariachi moment, his 2018 hit "Rolling One", with banda quintet T3R Elemento, extends a rollicking salute to the joys of cannabis.
