Madrid-born singer-songwriter José Miguel Conejo Torres (aka Leiva) has been both a best-selling solo artist and a lead singer for the successful rock band Pereza. His first solo album Diciembre showcased his range, earning him nominations for a number of awards, while later singles "Afuera en la Ciudad" and "Terriblemente Cruel" became the hits that further fuelled his popularity. Over the years he's become known for his light tenor vocals and distinctive, grungy look.
