Since breaking out in 2018, singer-songwriter Carín León has grown into one of the golden boys of música mexicana, scoring dozens of crossover hits and collaborating with pop phenoms such as Maluma, C. Tangana and Grupo Frontera. Born in Hermosillo, Sonora, in 1989, León began composing his first songs while in high school, later finding success with Grupo Arranke as they veered into norteño and sierreño, even landing an early hit with “A Través del Vaso”. On subsequent releases, he expanded into blues with “Primera Cita”, banda sinaloense on “El Tóxico” alongside Grupo Firme and mariachi on “‎Mil Maneras de Morir” with Kakalo.
