Founded in 1991 in the bank vault of a former East German department store, Tresor symbolises Berlin's inventive nightlife culture after the Wall came down. Since then, the club's in-house label has defined the sound of the city's techno scene with a combination of industrial grit, minimalist soul and futurist longing—often with crucial assists from Detroit, Berlin's unofficial sister city.
