You won't be able to sum up Abbe May's sound by listening to just one song. The Perth girl started out as a post-grunge blues-rock guitar slinger in 2011, cranking out high-octane rock like “Costanza” and “Mammalian Locomotion”. Just two years later, on the likes of “T.R.O.U.B.L.E.” and “Sex Tourette's”, May had switched from strings to keys, making dark and twisted synth-pop. The common link with all her work is a visceral feel and an obsession with lust, sex and the push-and-pull of relationships. She also rocks, whether wailing at the microphone or flailing away on guitar.
