The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza

About The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza

Eclectic and punishing extreme metal outfit Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza formed around the talents of Layne Meylain, Brad Thomson, Mike Butler, Mason Crooks, and Jessie Freeland in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. The hard-hitting quintet, specializing in a tech-heavy blend of grindcore, groove-dominated thrash, and experimental metal, joined the Corrosive Recordings label's roster in 2005 upon the release of their independent debut. After touring relentlessly throughout the United States, the group released Danza II: The Electric Boogaloo on Metal Blade in 2007. Meylain and Butler left the group amicably in 2009, and drummer Mike Bradley was added. Danza III: A Series of Unfortunate Events arrived in July 2010. ~ James Christopher Monger
