About Stonekracker

Inputting disturbing melodies and raging pounded grooves within their tunes, StoneKracker outline a way amid industrial and alternative metal styles, subliming their sole rocking choices with straying funk marks. Vocalist Dana Cooper and bassist Eric Cooper were the founding duo of the Austin crew in 1997, after disbanding from their previous outfit, Moonjell. Ryder Bouldin (guitar), Marc Harbinson (guitar), and Gene Keely (drums) ensure the rest of the lineup of the Texan band. One year after forming, Kracker released its first disc, the EP I Just Might, subliming their mongrel musical choices. Turn, the following EP, arrived in 1999, assuring the band considerable airplay on local radios and fortifying their way before the release of their debut album Two Birds With One Stone, which hit record stores in 2000. StoneKracker then started playing across their state area and beyond, appearing at the SWXW Festival 2001, and gradually gaining the attention from both the media and the industry. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges
