About Robert Ziegler

American conductor Robert Ziegler has had a creatively diverse career, working with the top orchestras in London, as well in opera, film, classical crossover, popular music, and radio. ∙ With film and TV credits going back to 1990, Ziegler has conducted the scores of many art-house favorites, including Kenneth Branagh’s Hamlet and Steve McQueen’s Widows. ∙ Radiohead has collaborated with Ziegler, who worked on OK Computer and The King of Limbs, as well as several film scores by band member Jonny Greenwood. ∙ He has conducted on recordings by leading modern classical and classical-crossover composers Rachel Fuller (Animal Requiem) and Ludovico Einaudi (Divenire). ∙ In 2008, he served as music director for Randy Newman’s orchestral show at LSO St Luke’s, which was released as the album and concert film Randy Newman (Live in London). ∙ Pete Townshend’s Classic Quadrophenia, which Ziegler conducted, peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Classical Albums chart in 2015.
