When my family moved into an old town house- a ramshackle old place south of DC- I spent the first few hours exploring every nook. Eventually, I discovered an old, detuned piano in the basement. That piano is the reason I became a musician. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Indigo De Souza, Any Shape You Take Momma, Two of Me The xx, xx Any Shape You Take: My music will always be indebted to this grungy, bold, unabashedly vulnerable work of art. Two of Me: This is the album that makes me want to put on my sunglasses and kick my feet back. XX: Duh. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Soir Bleu” Soir Bleu is an intimate song of isolation and disconnect; of dwelling in our depths, licking our wounds, and stumbling a little bit as we try to better ourselves and our situations. This song hurts in the very best of ways. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It has to be performing our first concert as a band at Blue in Portland, Maine. The venue was ethereal, the crowd was backed, and the music was some of the best we've ever played. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Well opening for Indigo de Souza of course. Other than that, releasing a full-length album, going on tour, and being able to finally do music full time.
