Jen Jen

Jen Jen performed in theatre while she was a student at the Taipei National University of the Arts, and subsequently won the ‘Best New Talent’ award at the Taipei Film Festival—so it should surprise no one that she is most famous for her acting skills. What is lesser known, however, is that all this time, Jen Jen has also been writing the music behind some of her performances. In 2017, she wrote the credits song for HBO drama The Teenage Psychic, “Unusual Routines”, to rave reviews, gaining her well-deserved exposure as a singer-songwriter. Her lyrics reveal a meticulous attention to the details of everyday life and her melodies are uniquely authentic. Her musical potential is further revealed in the deftness with which she crafts an unadorned but fully emotional landscape, offering each listener their own personal experience of her music.
