About Hijos De Barrón

Norteño trio Hijos De Barrón includes the Barrón brothers, José Iram and Jesús Iday, who chose their band’s name as a tribute to their father. ∙ They debuted their acoustic guitar-centric sierreño sound on the 2011 album Puros Corridos, which also spawned their first hit song, “El Proceder De Manuel.” ∙ With some of their controversial corridos being off-limits for radio, the band increasingly turned to the internet, where their videos have garnered tens of millions of views. ∙ In 2015, they collaborated with Enigma Norteño on “El Chapo Guzmán,” a wildly popular corrido inspired by the famed Mexican drug lord. ∙ Lo Que Pesa Mi Palabra, the group’s 2016 LP, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. ∙ Hijos De Barrón have appeared on many popular Latin TV talk and variety shows, including El Gordo y La Flaca and Noches con Platanito.
