Having amassed an impressive body of work since forming in Sinaloa back in the ’90s, La Adictiva seem to have gotten more prolific over time. These days, the música mexicana mainstays maintain a fairly robust release schedule, as evidenced by this deluxe endeavour. Adding another six songs to the Eso Es La Riqueza EP released just five months prior, this expanded edition reconfigures the tracklist to bring it closer to an album’s length and flow. A standout among the newer cuts, “Mi Último Día” provides a gripping account of grappling with one’s own death, its lyrics laden with farewells and few regrets. Though largely focused on the group’s efforts, the title track benefits from the presence of Lenin Ramírez, who brings further wisdom to the thoughtful proceedings.
