These tracks, many of them from late in Bocephus' career, emphasise the untameable country singer's more pointed, political side. "The Coalition to Ban Coalitions" is a tongue-in-cheek tune that challenges censorship over a shuffling rockabilly beat, while the steel-guitar ballad "Red, White & Pink Slip Blues" laments the way that deindustrialisation has destroyed a small town.
