About Kristin Chenoweth

Actress and pop singer Kristin Chenoweth has released seven albums while building an acclaimed career on Broadway, in movies, and on TV. • Chenoweth spent much of the ’90s performing in musical theater, including the 1999 Broadway revival of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, for which she won a Tony Award. • She starred in the short-lived 2001 sitcom Kristin, appeared on The West Wing and won an Emmy in 2009 for her work on Pushing Daisies before merging her acting and singing talents with a recurring role on Glee starting in 2009. • Chenoweth’s first album, 1991’s Let Yourself Go, featured her versions of songs from vintage Broadway musicals. Jason Alexander sang with her on “Hangin’ Around with You”, from George and Ira Gershwins’ 1930 musical Strike Up the Band. • Her highest-charting effort so far came on her sixth album, 2016’s The Art of Elegance, a collection of standards that hit No. 1 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. • Chenoweth’s 2019 album For the Girls featured contributions from Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande. The album was billed as a tribute to some of the female singers who have influenced Chenoweth.
