Mack Avenue SuperBand

Mack Avenue Superband is an ad hoc ensemble comprised of various artists on the Mack Avenue record label roster. Assembled yearly to coincide with the Detroit Jazz Festival, the Mack Avenue Superband has featured such musicians as trumpeter Sean Jones, guitarist Evan Perri, saxophonist Kirk Whalum, pianist Aaron Diehl, and others. Starting in 2012, the group began releasing live recordings of their Detroit Jazz Festival performances. ~ Matt Collar
