John Murphy Essentials

Liverpudlian composer John Murphy spent much of the ‘80s playing in a series of cult New Wave bands. In the early ‘90s, he began scoring independent projects and short films and eventually caught the ear of director Guy Ritchie, who tapped up Murphy for his break-out movie, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. In addition to ongoing collaborations with Ritchie and the director Danny Boyle, the composer has been courted by high-profile Hollywood filmmakers like Michael Mann and Matthew Vaughn.
