In parallel with gigs fronting the woozy psychedelic indie act The Nocturnes and the equally mesmerising Marriages, the Los Angeles native established an expansive solo career that centred her voice within hollowed-out gothic folk and stormy post-rock. Rundle’s 2020 collaboration with the sludgy-metal band Thou is even richer, as the contrast between the heavy music and her bewitching delivery generates bruising tension.
