In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was 3 when my father asked me if I wanted to learn an instrument. I didn't know what it was but it felt like I was going to get a new toy & the day I got my first instrument, the Tabla, I felt like it was play time & still feels the same today. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Foxwarren, Foxwarren S.D. Burman, Pyaasa (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Wilco, Wilco (The Album) These 3 albums for me are testaments of hard hitting songwriting blanketed by music that displays beautiful restraint and unhinged madness. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Raani” Raani marks an end of my 10 year long complicated relation with the song. Its release marked a transition in my career. Putting the song out finally allowed me to move on from an older sound to a new and more accurate depiction of myself. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The day I found out that my earliest song Raani had been circulating over messaging apps and people were listening to it for over 4 years without knowing that I wrote the song. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I've never had a bucket list or an aspiration but starting this year I've been meaning to become a big artist.
