In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At the age of 6, I started at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Spain. Unfortunately, after a few years I lost my right ear hearing, and I was later dismissed from the school. That pushed me to become self-taught and lean on a private tutor. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alexandre Desplat, Rise of the Guardians (Music from the Motion Picture) Danny Elfman, The Nightmare Before Christmas (Special Edition) [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] John Powell, How To Train Your Dragon (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack / Deluxe Edition) First, I am inspired to see how Elfman uses the palettes of Stravinsky, Herrmann. I look up to Desplat's narrative skills. I find that Powell's HTTYD taste for dramatic scores in animation films is unparalleled. Tell us why you chose this song. “La Danse De l'horloge” Inspired by the Hugo, the movie scored by Howard Shore, I tried to capture the magic a child fascinated by clocks and the clockmaker. I believe film scores still have to have melodic motives, and this is one of my best descriptive pieces to this day. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2022, I became one of the top 10 finalists in the 2022 Indie Film Music Contest (IFMC Summer 2022), amongst 450 contestants. This was to me a reassurance as it is hard nowadays to surface without good promotion and marketing. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have always been specially fascinated by the music in animation and documentary pieces. Whereas I have been able to score short animation films, I am still chasing documentary films to score.
