Kacey Johansing

Singer/songwriter Kacey Johansing puts a graceful, sophisticated spin on bittersweet '70s West Coast influences. After emerging in 2010 with her solo debut, Many Seasons, and winning fans among the indie music community, her fourth full-length, 2020's No Better Time, found her collaborating with the likes of Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith) and members of Julian Casablancas & the Voidz and Tall Tales & the Silver Lining. The lusher, partly Bacharach-inspired Baroque pop of 2023's Year Away was bolstered by such guests as Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith and Hand Habits' Meg Duffy.
