About Enla Arboleda
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Me playing the bandola in a school presentation when I was 12. I played a song called "Chimichurri," which, if I’m not mistaken, is a Colombian Guabina. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find out who wrote it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ela Minus, acts of rebellion James Blake, Playing Robots Into Heaven Wet Leg, moisturizer I love the sonic explorations of these albums. I tend to listen to music by living artists because I believe we need ongoing, current conversations to move the world towards a better place. They are fantastic musicians and genuinely good humans too Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Don't Belong Here” I love this song because it talks about realising you might not be where you were supposed to be. It’s about the bravery that comes after realising you need to take charge of your own life. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? After moving to the UK and spending nearly two years writing my record, the first time I listened to it in full was unforgettable. That was the moment I realised the entire journey had been worth it. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes! I need to keep writing new songs, and I’ll continue experimenting with synths and guitars, combining languages and rhythms. I love expanding my own understanding of music.
