Qing Feng Wu’s Diary of a Spaceman: Echoes

After a nearly 20-year career, Sodagreen frontman Qing Feng Wu flies solo for the first time on his debut album Spaceman. To mark the departure, Qing Feng joins Apple Music to share four exclusive playlists titled “Diary of a Spaceman.” His second instalment is “Echoes.” Qing Feng Wu’s musical tastes span the spectrum—each of these songs have reverberated back and forth in his creative space. Listen carefully, and you can hear their faint echoes in his own work. “Every step we take is done in the faint echoes of someone else. The things we say will someday become echoes to others. We keep collecting experiences to become parts of who we are, while we also forget parts of who we are.” Qing Feng tells Apple Music. As Qing Feng points out, this formative process is not completely passive. Many times we have the power to choose what comes with us, particularly with regards to art. “Some of those lingering echoes from others become songs and books and the things we carry all our lives. Pack these songs and take them along for a while, whether you’re travelling alone or with a companion.” Qing Feng hopes you take this playlist on part of your journey. Perhaps some of these echoes will resonate someplace deep within your soul.
