Robin Trower Essentials

Apple Music

Robin Trower first turned heads in the ‘60s as the axeman for art rockers Procol Harum, but it was in the mid-'70s when Trower's solo records made him a hard-rocking guitar hero in his own right. With bassist James Dewar providing searing, bluesy lead vocals, Trower let his fingers do the talking on tracks like the moody, majestic "Bridge of Sighs" and the propulsive, funky blues rocker "Too Rolling Stoned”. With a distinct sound that was equal parts psychedelic and traditional, Robin Trower took the intense expressiveness of Jimi Hendrix and upgraded it for a new era.
