Dok2 has built up his career since the early days of the Korean hip-hop scene, becoming South Korea's foremost name in Atlanta-style trap. Signed as a teen in the early ‘00s to rapper Cho PD's label, he started out producing for more prominent artists and rapping over old school funk beats on his own singles. With his royalty cheques, he built his Illionaire Records empire and hit his stylistic stride with songs like 2015's “Chikichakachokocho”, full of trilling trap snares, menacing synth hits and snarling, boasting hooks.
