About Tattoo Rodeo

Previously known as White Sister, an ultra-sophisticated funk-tinged hard rock outfit, the band switched name and changed image somewhat during 1991, in order to secure a major recording contract. With acoustic and blues influences replacing the soul/funk elements, the band aimed at the same market as Tesla, Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. Comprising Dennis Churchill-Dries (vocals, bass), Rick Chadock (guitar), Michael Lord (keyboards) and Rich Wright (drums), the band specialize in highly infectious and melodic song structures, characterized by an impassioned vocal delivery. Picked up by Atlantic, they debuted with Rode Hard, Put Away Wet and received a positive, if slightly guarded, media response. This comprised 13 blues-based rock anthems that had both guts and style. Their image was rather understated and as a result, they failed to attract the degree of attention that their talents deserved.
