Anonymous and unpronounceable, this faceless duo from Norrköping, Sweden produced some of the most brilliant and forward-thinking techno of the early 2010s. Industrial-tinged and uncompromising, their output was characterized by superb sound design and a largely self-built sample library that gave their thick analog sound a unique touch. Their debut release was the album-length RRRRGRRGRRR EP, released in 2012 on Spanish label Subsist. It was somewhat more straightforward and club-oriented than their later work, but gave a good indication of what was to come. That year they also released two more EPs: NMHNMHNMNMH, somewhat closer to home on the Swedish label HEM, and RJRJRFFRJRJ on the highly respected Avian imprint run by Shifted and Ventress. They were to find a permanent label home in Avian, which released two more EPs and three full-length albums by the duo over the next four years. Their debut album, STRGTHS, dropped in 2013; it was the first full-length release on Avian, and its sludgy, industrial sound cemented their reputation among the techno cognoscenti. The somewhat more straightforward and occasionally ambient-leaning Linear S Decoded followed in 2014, as did their third album, SsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSs, in 2016.
