Morphing Chamber Orchestra

About Morphing Chamber Orchestra

The Morphing Chamber Orchestra is a young group that lives up to its name, shifting personnel according to the wide variety of repertory it plays. In music for larger ensembles, it has also been known as the Vienna Morphing Orchestra. The Morphing Chamber Orchestra was formed in 2006 by violinist, violist, and arranger Tomasz Wabnic, who remains the group's artistic director. In 2010, the Morphing Chamber Orchestra made its recording debut, backing soprano Akiko Nakajima on the album Wien, Stadt meiner Träume. The ensemble's collaborators have included tenor Roberto Alagna and soprano Aleksandra Kurzak (with whom the orchestra recorded the album Desire). The Morphing Chamber Orchestra released the albums Mozart Concertante (2021) and a recording of Arvo Pärt's works in 2022. The orchestra owns rights to world premieres of compositions from the archives of the 700-year-old Jasna Góra Monastery in Poland.
