About Marc Bolan
T. Rex was one of the quintessential British glam rock acts. Led by rock peacock Marc Bolan, the band became a huge success in England during the early 1970s, their popularity nearing the level of Beatlemania 10 years earlier. T. Rex enjoyed a long string of Top Ten singles, albums, and sold-out concerts, and influenced countless punk and new wave bands, but it all came to a halt when Bolan died in a car crash in 1977.
