Jane Getter

About Jane Getter

Jane Getter is a New York-based guitarist. She describes her playing style as "Mahavishnu Orchestra meets Led Zeppelin meets King Crimson", a point that exists at the intersection of jazz, metal, prog rock, and singer/songwriter genres. After earning her bones with soul-jazz organ king Jack McDuff, Getter worked with a slew of top-flight musicians, including her husband Adam Holzman, Kenny Garrett, the Roots, and the Saturday Night Live Band. Her 1999 debut Jane appeared in 1999. Her sophomore offering, 2007's See Jane Run, received laudatory reviews, while 2011's Three garnered invitations to perform on rock and jazz festival main stages. She formed the Jane Getter Premonition in 2014 and released On to mass acclaim a year later. After working on the road and in-studio for several years, she released Anomalia with JGP in 2021.
