About Jakob Dylan

Being the son of one of the most influential songwriters in the history of Western pop music probably opened some doors for Jakob Dylan, but being Bob Dylan's son was just as likely a heavy load to carry, and the younger Dylan handled the pressure with relative élan. Featuring a classic heartland sound, his Wallflowers achieved commercial and critical success -- as well as Grammy recognition -- throughout the late '90s and early 2000s. Dylan signed a solo contract in 2006 and issued the acoustic-based Seeing Things in 2008. The sophomore effort Women + Country followed in 2010. ~ Steve Leggett
