Bacalao

A Brighton, England-based Latin show band, Bacalao made a name for themselves through their energetic live performances, which were fronted by the Colombian born vocalists Diego Monsalve and Rafael Berrio. The band played a mix of re-interpreted classics, blending cha-cha and ska, as well as blending influences as wide ranging as jazz, rock, punk, and reggae, to keep the dancefloor as full as possible. The band spent the lion's share of summer 2008 playing the festival circuit, including stops at Glastonbury, Dorchester, the Beachdown Festival, and the Southport International Jazz Festival. ~ Chris True
