On his third album, 2023’s LOVE AND CHAOS, the artist embarks on an examination of his emotional terrain, of luxuriating in love—and of ceding to pangs of lust. Floating with ease on fingerpicked guitar chords, Eugene sets off the album on a melancholic tone on “Rags to Riches”, ruminating on his journey and offering up personal lessons. “Fate” and the buoyant “Yolo” are also layered with messages of positivity, enriched with advice on navigating life.
