Paul McCartney was already squarely in his post-Beatles career, having already released two solo albums. But in 1971, he teamed up with his wife Linda, Denny Laine, and Denny Seiwell to form the group Wings. Though marred with frequent lineup changes, they released a total of seven studio albums, including the worldwide hit Band on the Run and the theme song to the James Bond film Live and Let Die. Lasting only a decade—quietly disbanding in 1981—Wings were prolific in their output, while proving that McCartney was much more than his former band.
