Tim Hecker: Influences

Combining techno, ambient, and Frippertronics-style drones, Montreal-based Tim Hecker's music has an appeal that unites disparate groups. His own influences include everything from Claude Debussy's orchestral delicacy to Ennio Morricone's romantic soundtracks, the shoegazing guitars of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine, to the ambient minimalism of Aphex Twin.
