Espírito Santo-born Silva has selected tracks direct from Bahia to get the party started. Classic axé, Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, and Ivete Sangalo—it's all here. “When I was a child, I spent Carnaval on the north coast of Espírito Santo, where axé was by far the most played music. I fell in love right away with this kind of pop music, rooted so strongly in Brazil's heritage,” the singer tells Apple Music. “Carnaval for me is to mix everything and everyone, respect differences, love more, and enjoy freedom without fear of the future, believing that life can be better.”
