Texan saxophonist Ronnie Laws was born into a legendarily talented family. With siblings that include Hubert and Debra Laws, the musician was surrounded by other performers, but he still easily managed to hold his own in a career that has spanned 40 years and is still going strong. After a brief stint in the funk fusion band Earth, Wind & Fire, Laws launched his solo career in 1975, and he has been garnering consistent hits ever since. Also talented as a vocalist and arranger, Laws has returned to his roots several times over the years and collaborated closely with his brothers and sisters.
