Punk: Founding Fathers

Many rockers claim to be the inventors of punk. Although we can't determine who exactly is right, we can list a pantheon of mid- to late-'70s artists who are all fit to wear the king's raw, thorny crown. Whether it's England's Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stranglers, or The Damned; New York's Ramones; or Los Angeles' X, this collection represents the genre's most seminal figures.
