On “Don't Cut Your Hair,” their jangly New Wave gives way to bluesy rock laced with twangy licks; a horn-laced “Louie Louie” is a slice of hard-stomping R&B. Even more radical is Chrissie Hynde's work with Moodswings: “Spiritual High (State of Independence), Pt. 2” is cosmic downtempo perfect for stargazing.
