Pentangle Essentials
Apple Music

Along with Fairport Convention, Pentangle were one of the most important folk-rock bands to come out of England in the '60s. Featuring not one, but two guitar geniuses in Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, the London quintet skillfully blended traditional and modern folk music with jazz, along with pop and rock influences. Their classic 1969 album Basket of Light was a great commercial and critical success in the UK, and their influence can be heard in the new breeds of freak-folk, nu-folk, and beyond.
