Kentucky native Patty Loveless earned her first break as a pre-teen by singing with her brother, Roger. By the early '70s, she was performing alongside such country veterans as Porter Wagoner and the Wilburn Brothers, but marriage spurred Patty to leave country and work on the honky-tonk circuit. She returned in the mid-'80s to score the first of 40 singles on the Billboard country chart. Her potent mix of classic country and rock has earned her a following among fans and musicians alike, as well as membership in the Grand Ole Opry.
