The members of London synth-pop duo Oh Wonder were working on other projects when they met in 2010, and they’ve seamlessly integrated their individual styles into their highly functional pop marriage. Josephine and Anthony Vander West rose to prominence when they took the unusual step of releasing one track every month for a year, before repurposing them for their 2015 self-titled debut LP. They perfected their blend of breathy vocals and supple grooves on 2017’s Ultralife, 2020’s No One Else Can Wear Your Crown, and 2021’s 22 Break, with the spouses singing intimate, nocturnal songs full of bittersweet fragility.
