Offenbach: Next Steps

Offenbach: Next Steps

Beginning in 1972, Offenbach translated heavy American blues-rock into French with thrilling results. Beyond their acid-rock guitar sound and growling vocals, the band specialized in grand gestures. These included an ambitious Latin-language rock mass ("Domine Jésu Christe") and a powerful 1980 jazz-fusion project heard in the big-band-augmented "Ma Patrie Est a Terre."
