Music Curated by the Cast of ‘Extrapolations’

The Apple TV+ Original Series Extrapolations introduces a near future where the effects of climate change have impacted day-to-day life. “During the pandemic, I sat around writing Extrapolations and listening to music,” creator Scott Z. Burns tells Apple Music. “I've always loved having music on when I write—and many of these songs were excellent company for me on this project.” The anthology series is told over eight interconnected stories from across the globe that explore intimate and life-altering decisions that must be made when the planet is rapidly changing. “When we started shooting, I asked our cast what songs inspired them to turn passion into activism, and this playlist was born,” said Burns. “From Kit Harington's selection of Rage Against the Machine to Hari Nef picking ANOHNI to Yara Shahidi's choice of J-Live—to Meryl's reminder of 'Big Yellow Taxi' from 1970—it shows what music can do to call us to action.” If you hear anything you like, add it to your library. And don't miss new episodes of Extrapolations—streaming now on Apple TV+.
