A multitalented singer, actor, and activist, Molly Johnson was enrolled in the National Ballet School of Canada in the mid-‘60s, and starred in many of Ed Mirvish's downtown Toronto productions just a few years later. Decades of work in various Toronto bands across a variety of genres followed, as did stints as a concert organizer and voice actor. It wasn't until 2000 that Johnson finally realized her debut album, a self-titled collection of vocal jazz. It was warmly received, and Johnson's work has only increased in profile in the years since. She was awarded the Order of Canada in 2007 for the breadth of her impressive career. Spend some time with her inimitable voice.
