Michael W. Smith: Next Steps

Michael W. Smith is one of CCM's most introspective balladeers, but his love for the Lord often turns upbeat and energetic. The guitar-driven “Secret Ambition” reflects the pop-rich Christian rock of his early records, while the dance-oriented “Love Me Good” beats with triumphant gospel vocals and funky drums. Even the piano-led worship anthem “Open the Eyes of My Heart” is fuelled by the ecstatic joy of Smith's faith.
