Marnie Stern Essentials

Born and raised in New York City, singer/songwriter and indie rock guitar virtuoso Marnie Stern scored big when her 2007 debut became a critics' pick. Titled In Advance of the Broken Arm, the project introduced her signature tapping style of playing, as she combined furious guitar pyrotechnics with her quirky pop songwriting skills. The following year's This Is It... and 2010's self-titled album moved in a more accessible direction and nodded to new wave influences, while 2013's The Chronicles of Marnia ushered in a greater emphasis on introspective lyrics.
